Principles

Twelve principles in four dimensions provide a reference for Yamanut's institutional and technological work.

Criteria to guide the work.

The principles describe commitments related to operations, decisions and continuous development.

Their application depends on the circumstances of each activity and requires review when processes, risks or needs change. They are neither a certification nor an absolute guarantee of outcomes.

I · Identity

Criteria for presenting information and developing systems.

01

Precision

Define requirements and communicate information clearly, verifiably and sufficiently to support decisions.

02

Functional minimalism

Simplify use and presentation while retaining the functions and data required for each task.

03

Excellence

Assess the quality of work and seek improvements in implementation, documentation and user experience.

II · Conduct

References for relationships with people, organisations and accepted responsibilities.

04

Integrity

Maintain consistency between information communicated, decisions made and commitments undertaken.

05

Responsibility

Identify relevant duties and risks, clarify limitations and follow up on the consequences of decisions.

06

Transparency

Provide appropriate institutional information and distinguish current facts, limitations and future objectives while respecting applicable confidentiality.

III · Autonomy

Criteria for managing dependencies, security and decision-making capability.

07

Independence

Assess technical and operational dependencies and retain viable alternatives when appropriate.

08

Security

Consider the protection of systems, information and access throughout development and operation.

09

Technological sovereignty

Seek to understand, document and manage technologies essential to the work, including the conditions for using and replacing them.

IV · Permanence

References for maintenance, adaptation and continuity of activity.

10

Resilience

Prepare proportionate responses to failures and disruptions and establish conditions for recovery.

11

Adaptability

Review methods and systems as needs, knowledge and circumstances change.

12

Continuity

Document processes and preserve sufficient knowledge to support maintenance and the transition of responsibilities.

Application and review.

The principles provide references for defining requirements, assessing alternatives, documenting work and reviewing processes periodically. Their application should be demonstrated through work undertaken and improved where limitations are identified.
